New · Thursday to Sunday nights

Grill nights, over African embers.

When night falls on rue de la 1ère Armée, the charcoal glows red: whole cuts of beef seared in the flame, whole braised tilapia, alloco and attiéké — the spirit of an Abidjan maquis, music included.

Thursday – Sunday: 7pm – 11pm · while the daytime menu keeps being served

The grill set — €35.

Only one question to settle: meat or fish? The ember-grilled beef or the whole braised tilapia comes with the house trio — alloco, attiéké and yam or sweet-potato fries.

  • 1

Pick your fire: sliced grilled beef or whole tilapia.

  • 2

The sides follow: alloco, attiéké, yam or sweet-potato fries.

So does the rest of the menu — signature plates, desserts and drinks.

The chalkboard follows the day’s market — the evening selection is revealed at your table.

Over the wood fire

What goes on the embers.

The charcoal grill is where the house’s Ivorian roots burn brightest — the shopfront already says it: “African specialities over the wood fire”. House marinades, live-flame cooking, generous plates.

The meat

Whole cuts of beef seared over live embers, then sliced on the board — flaky salt, mild chilli, a wedge of orange. Grilled to order, about ten minutes.

The fish

Whole tilapia in our house spice marinade, grilled over the fire and topped with slow-cooked tomatoes and onions, Abidjan style. A whole fish takes its time — around 20 minutes.

On the plate

The trio that comes with it.

Meat or fish, the sides stay the same: three West African classics, all made in-house and served according to the day’s market.

Alloco
Ripe plantain, sliced and fried until it caramelises: soft in the middle, golden at the edges. West Africa’s sweet-savoury reflex.
Attiéké
Steamed fermented-cassava couscous — light, faintly tangy grains, the natural partner to braised fish.
Yam or sweet-potato fries
Whatever the market brings: yam cut into crisp fries, or soft, sweet sweet-potato. Always homemade.

The vibe

The embers set the tone, the music does the rest.

On grill nights the room slips into maquis mode: soft light, music with African accents, tables that linger. On Thursdays the Blind Test takes over the veranda — dinner on one side, guessing games on the other.

In the glass

Evening cocktails — with or without alcohol —, wine by the glass, red-berry beer and craft cider, served alongside the grill. The house signature drinks remain alcohol-free.

On the speakers

A soundtrack with Abidjan accents that rises gently through the evening — and the programme of the nights (Blind Test first) on our events page.

At the table

Until 11pm, nobody rushes you. For a birthday or the whole crew, the veranda can be privatised for 15 to 60 people.

Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. Please drink responsibly.

Frequently asked questions

Before you come to the fire.

Which nights is the grill on?

Thursday – Sunday: 7pm – 11pm. During the day the regular menu is served non-stop — the embers are lit at 7pm.

Should I book?

We recommend it, especially Friday to Sunday — booking online takes a minute. For groups of 4 or more, call us on 09 86 46 09 89 and we will keep you a table near the fire.

How long is the wait?

Everything is grilled to order: around ten minutes for the meat, a little more (about 20) for the whole fish. That’s the wood fire for you — a drink and the music make it easy.

What if I eat neither meat nor fish?

The PEACH menu is still served in the evening, vegetarian and vegan plates included. The grill adds to the menu, it does not replace it.

Does the grill board change?

The chalkboard follows the seasons and the day’s market. Grill news and the nights’ programme are announced on Instagram @peach.strasbourg.

Thursday → Sunday, 7pm – 11pm

A table by the fire is worth booking.
